The Dutch company Kersten was founded in 1969 and deals with interior accessories, mirrors, planters, bowls, small furniture and home textiles.
Twice a year Kersten presents a new trend range in different styles. Due to its international orientation, Kersten has been creating a varied and diverse line of products for 45 years. With this skill, the traditional company creates a wide range of customers.
We couldn’t help ourselves but recognize the brass-colored candlestands, vases and mirror fixtures.
Kersten focuses on the new metal color gold / brass in the interior. Under the motto “Giving a feeling of happiness” the label has presented 10 themes. We liked the combination with the color sea green that was used in bowls, glasses and planters which were treated under the color theme “Celadongreen”. The color is being combined with glass, natural colored baskets or copper giving the interior a fresh and waking touch. Combine this with carpets and blankets with ethno-patterns and you’re almost in a holiday mood.
Then there was also the next topic: “Ibiza”. Small furniture made of light rattan, hanging mats, poufs, cushions and deco in macrame-optics put the visitor in a lazy mood. Perfectly combined ceramics, bowls and vases were decorated in light natural and light gray tones, also with ethnic designs or small mosaics. For us that’s an absolute trend.
The concept “French Country” convinced by nostalgic vases and pot shapes, as well as pastel colors like rosé and mint green combined with classic white.
Furthermore we especially liked “Geometric” with its filigree tables and baskets made of geometrically arranged metal struts as well as the theme “Beachbar” which came with wonderfully fine ceramics in blue and white. The patterns reminded us of traditional Chinese porcelain. Kersten was also able to convince visitors at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris. Their idea-rich and beautiful stand was awarded the “best stand in hall 5”.
