The company Delightfull already caught our eye at Imm Cologne but at Light & Building we had the chance to check out their products in detail.
The brand is inspired by the 40s, 50s and 60s and designs lamps.
The concepts “Heritage”, “Essential” and “Graphics” at Light & Building 2016 show this in a comprehensive way. A touch of luxury from the English 60s, minimalist design from the 1950s with a modern touch – Delightfull stands for diversity.
A special aspect for us was that the designs are produced in Portugal and EU respectively.
Under the name “Covet Lounge” are several design companies of different styles, such as bathroom design, furniture design and others. The label “Delightfull” is responsible for the lighting design. The furniture and lamps are very well processed and are all produced in the EU and Portugal, the seat of “Covet Lounge”. The mood that is generated reflects the vitality of the inspirational epochs. With a lot of instinctive feeling the brand develops designs and produces them craftsmanship perfectly. Through the collaboration of several designers for a common product portfolio, it is ensured that everyone brings in their core competency and passion to create thought-out, aesthetic furniture and lighting that puts the viewer back into the epochs.
In 2014 “Graphics” was added. An assortment of large illuminated letters and numbers, which perfectly fit into the existing object-oriented customer structure but also the end consumers. The designs remind you of the signs of cinemas, clubs, shops and restaurants from the 40s to 60s. With 1m large letters a statement can be made in every living room.
In 2015 “Essential Home” was added to Covet Lounge.
Under the collection name “Essentials” individual pieces inspired by the classic style of the novel figure “James Bond” were chosen,. The retro material mix is clearly recognizable: design language of the 60s mixed with the new trend gold. Upholstery furniture with the colors of the 1950s combined with gold-colored metal feet such as “Jobim” or “Caetano” or the “Vincius” side table made of marble, gold and wood – the luxury a James Bond lives is all present. As exceptional as the design, the furniture remains intriguing and fascinating by using new materials and colors. Perfect for authentic 60s bars but also for the customer who would like to stage the flair of an agent life. The sideboard “Monocles” was a real highlight for us.
The lighting collection with the name “Heritage” also shows designs inspired by the past epochs of the 40s – 60s.
The lamp “Simone”, “Sinatra” and “Duke12” are a parade example. The pendant lights “Brubeck”, “Aretha”, “Botti” and “Atomic” convince with extravagance and the new trend color gold.
Delightfull labels itself as a luxury design brand. The design company sees its task in the designing of unique lamps and furniture in which they undoubtly succeed. The production in the EU, the selection of the corresponding workshops is reflected in the high-quality manufacturing. The offered products are not bulk goods and that is good. The design team also offers customized projects so that the architect can select upholstery colors and materials as well as dimensions. Projects like the Paramount Hotel in New York City or the Idol Hotel in Paris are reference objects for this.
The label really “delighted” us at the Light & Building 2016 fair!
We’re looking forward to what the label will show us in the future and where the inspirations from past epochs will lead them. Delightfull can be found all across the internet with their social media channels. Fans should have no problem finding them.
